Nearing Completion

The painting is pretty much done. The fact that I haven't taken pics is a sad tale... I lost the battery charger for my Casio digital cam.

This Thursday I plan on finishing any aspect of the dread that Jimmy want improved, then calling it done. It's, um.... quite a monstrosity.

Starting to Get Color

It's starting to take shape. The sheer real estate of the thing makes it hard to get much done in any one session. For the leg armor I'm doing black with green glowing runes. Jimmy suggested I add some dried blood to the broken side of the face, and I think it helps it pop.

First Night of Real Painting

I'm fairly pleased with the painting at this point. I wasn't sure how this combination of bits would look after getting paint on them, but it's not looking terrible. I'm sure I'll adjust as time goes on but I wanted to get the carapace look defined, and after that the head was just too tempting a target.

Primed.... looking more cohesive

What IS that thing?!?

A friend of mine, with whom I hobby weekly, has asked me to paint his prized conversion... an over the top Nurgle Dreadnought. Here are the pics before priming.

There really are a vast number of different kits in there. His modding style is "faction-agnostic" to say the least. Combining different army bits (with elaborate back stories) is his MO.
